Padlocks for love

The Rijnhavenbrug (2012) in Rotterdam is by Quist Wintermans Architects.

The crane shaped bridge connects the busy Wilhelminapier with the popular Katendrecht neighborhood. Its shape and color reminds of the old cranes used in the former harbors. The Rijnhaven bridge 160 meters long and widest at 11 meters. Furthermore the bridge opens whereas the movable part is 27 meters long.

Noteworthy are the benches and lanterns decorating the deck of the Rijnhavenbrug in Rotterdam. While sitting on one of the benches one can easily fall in love with the view through the gaze fence.

On the Wilhelminapier is the famous Hotel New York and in Katendrecht the SS Rotterdam which is close to the Maastunnel from 1942. Walk, sit and walk more over the Rijnhaven bridge in Rotterdam. Here is the location!
